After getting lost in Manchester’s one-way system with a boot full of lighting gear, I show my face at The Birdcage nightclub. I did a shoot here last year so I knew what I was letting myself in for; 5 hours of photographing drag queens and dancers in loads of crazy costumes and waiting for make-up changes.
They’re a great bunch of people and put as much into the shoot as they do a performance. The pictures are being used for the new promotional material which is being designed by Made By Analogue, a company who I’ve worked with on several projects.[svgallery name="The Birdcage"]
