A couple of weeks back I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Anna & James’ wedding at Bramhope Church in Leeds. Their day was as good as it gets, and a good time was had by all.
I started off by meeting the (slightly very hungover) boys at a nearby hotel, and snapping away at James and Co. trying to figure out different knots for their ties. I then drove to their house to meet Anna and the ladies getting ready and finishing off the last dregs of the previous night’s vodka. The ceremony was a beautiful occasion at the church and I managed to hide away in the choir pews to snap away during the service. Afterwards they had hired a 1950s Porsche 356 Speedster to drive to The Venue at Eccup. We had spotted a few locations to take their couple shots a few weeks earlier when I did their pre-wedding shoot, but as soon as we started driving, the rain started, and we had to postpone the shots until later.
The reception was also beautiful, and Anna had put absolutely loads of effort into making the details of the day really special. It was a great example of how you don’t have to spend loads of money to get some amazing results, and that are much more personal and individual. Once the rain stopped, we managed to get outside to snap the happy couple and finish off the group shots, so that’s where we’ll start with the pictures.

I grabbed this cool chair from the kitchen and opened up the back door a fraction to throw some natural light onto these flowers.

3 of our 5 lovely bridesmaids, the two little ones you can see in the slideshow at the bottom.

A really fun and heart warming ceremony, these guys know how to have fun.

The rain covered Speedster, this was one of a few pictures I got of it as Anna & James legged it into the reception.

As always, here’s the favourite forty frames from the day:
