A few weeks back I set off to Manchester for the wedding of Jeanette & Stephen at Great John Street Hotel. This time round though it was to shoot their wedding video. Now most people think the wedding video is a shaky hour and a half long epic, with no music and a terrible view from the back of the church which has been given to you on an un-edited VHS tape from a long distant relative. Well things have changed in the last few years, and now there is a great deal of real film-makers producing beautiful videos, capturing your entire day just like us stills photographers. I’ve been involved with several wedding videos previously and been lucky enough to work with, or at least alongside some great talent, but this was my first attempt at producing an entire wedding video all on my own.
I was lucky enough to be working alongside fellow 3B Media partner Barnaby Aldrick, who was there on photographic duties for the day, and that makes a huge difference. If you’re thinking about getting a wedding video commissioned alongside your photographer, then it makes sense that they will be able to work with, and not against each other for the duration of the day. So if this is something you have in mind for your big day and you like the style of video you see here, who better to reach out to than 3B Media to record and document your entire day? Get in touch with us at info@3bmedia.co.uk to talk to us about covering your wedding through both photography and film.
PS. Look out for the throwing the bouquet moment . . .
