Last September I photographed Nadia & Nick’s wedding along with one of my amazing assistant second shooters, Cris Matthews at St Michaels & All Angels church in Haworth. Shortly after Nadia contacted the good people at Perfect Weddings Magazine to get their big day featured in the magazine. They sent me a preview copy just before Christmas and I think they’ve done them proud. Also getting a mention are the fabulous Linda at Dresses at No.9 in Keighley, and Nadia’s sister, Sofia of Ivy Florists in Pudsey, who produced all the amazing bouquets and arrangements.

Keep your eyes peeled for the issue which will be on the shelves of all good magazine and book sellers across the nation soon.

Emma & Steve • Wedding • Woodlands, Leeds

After giving you all just a few quick teasers over the past couple of weeks, I thought I’d show you one of my last jobs with Phil Barber as a second wedding photographer was with the fantastic Emma & Steve. You can check out Phil’s pictures here. The ceremony took place at St James’ in Manston and even with the odd dribble of rain was a beautiful occasion. The reception was a short while away at the fantastic Woodlands hotel in Leeds. The day started off at their home where me and Phil both picked up on all the details of Emma getting ready, and then I hopped over to the church to scoop some pictures of Steve and his best men.

Tonicha & Jo and chocolate fingers

I first met Jo of Northern Spirit Creative a year or so ago, after getting involved on a film she was casting director on. Shortly after that I got chatting with Tonicha who has her own acting agency called the Tonicha Lawrence Agency. Last week they asked me to pop along to one of their workshops to snap a couple of pics for their website. The promise of cups of tea and chocolate fingers sealed the deal for me.

Two amazing people who are fantastic at what they do, and strike a perfect balance between being professional whilst still being friendly and fun and down right good people. Charlotte • Headshots

Earlier this week I photographed Charlotte, a wonderful and lively person. As soon as I pulled up in the drive way, I spotted the blue garage door’s potential for some slightly funkier pictures, maybe not perfect for actor’s headshots but I thought I’d get her some cool shots anyway. You always think that people will turn up their noses with some of the things that photographers suggest “What do you mean, stand in front of this dirty old brick wall?”, but Charlotte was up for it.

Medilink • Healthcare Business Awards, The Royal Armouries

This afternoon, I was invited to photograph the Annual Innovation Day and Healthcare Business Awards hosted by Medilink.

A networking event as well, the day was there to recognise the achievements of innovation, invention and business in the healthcare industry. Some fantastic products on show including some cool surgical lights (I got quite excited at some new lighting ideas until I asked the price) and some really nifty dissolvable surgical tape to effectively mend internal wounds. As always, a big group shot was the main pic of the day, and trying to organise 20-odd people who are all dying to get to the free buffet is a good skill to have at the Nth hour. A great do, and a thoroughly nice bunch of people to work for.[svgallery name="Medilink"]

SUSHI! • Sesame & Radio Aire Promo

Today I was sent to The Light, in Leeds city centre by Marketing Leeds to photograph a live demonstration by the amazingly talented chefs at Sesame, as part of the run up to Leeds Loves Food week.

Audience participation was the aim of the game, and Rich Williams from Radio Aire was on the mic to draw in the punters.

A hundred frames later, I was handed a tray of tasty tasty free sushi for my lunch.
